Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَغْيَرَ مِنَ اللَّهِ، لِذَلِكَ حَرَّمَ الْفَوَاحِشَ وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ الْمَدْحُ مِنَ اللَّهِ "
English Translation
Hadrat Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "No one has more protective jealousy (ghayrah) than Allah; for that reason He has forbidden shameful deeds. And no one loves praise more than Allah."
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "اللہ سے زیادہ غیرت والا کوئی نہیں، اسی لیے اس نے بے حیائی کے کاموں کو حرام فرمایا ہے۔ اور اللہ سے زیادہ تعریف کسی کو محبوب نہیں۔"
