حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" نَهَى عَنْ الْمُجَثَّمَةِ ". فَقَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد : الْمُجَثَّمَةُ : الْمَصْبُورَةُ
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) prohibited the Mujath-thamah (an animal tied and used as target practice). Abu Muhammad said: 'Mujath-thamah means an animal confined as a target.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے مجثمہ (جانور کو باندھ کر نشانہ بنانا) سے منع فرمایا۔ ابو محمد نے کہا: 'مجثمہ مصبورہ ہے یعنی باندھ کر نشانہ بنایا ہوا جانور۔'
