Arabic (Original)
عَنْ أَبِي مَحْذُورَةَ - رضى الله عنه - { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -عَلَّمَهُ اَلْآذَانَ, فَذَكَرَ فِيهِ اَلتَّرْجِيعَ } أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ. وَلَكِنْ ذَكَرَ اَلتَّكْبِيرَ فِي أَوَّلِهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ فَقَطْ 1 .1 - صحيح. رواه مسلم (379). "والترجيع": أي في الشهادتين فيقولها مرة بصوت منخفض، ومرة أخرى بصوت مرتفع.
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Abu Mahdhura (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) taught him the Adhan (call to prayer) and he (the narrator) mentioned the Tarji' in it. [Muslim reported it, but mentioned the phrase (Takbir) "Allah is the Most Great" at its beginning just twice.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو محذورہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے انہیں اذان سکھائی اور اس میں ترجیع (یعنی شہادتین کو پہلے آہستہ پھر بلند آواز سے کہنا) کا ذکر ہے۔
