Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -أَنْ نَسْتَشْرِفَ اَلْعَيْنَ وَالْأُذُنَ, وَلَا نُضَحِّيَ بِعَوْرَاءَ, وَلَا مُقَابَلَةٍ, وَلَا مُدَابَرَةٍ, وَلَا خَرْمَاءَ, وَلَا ثَرْمَاءَ" } أَخْرَجَهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَالْأَرْبَعَة ُ (1773) . وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ, وَابْنُ حِبَّانَ, وَالْحَاكِم ُ (1774) .1 - كذا "الأصل" وفي "أ" : "الخمسة".2 - ضعيف. وفي "الأصل" تفصيل طرقه ورواياته.
English Translation
Hadrat 'Ali (RAA) narrated, 'Allah's Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) enjoined us to pay great attention to the eye and the ear and not sacrifice a one-eyed animal with a slit which leaves something hanging at the front or back of the ear, or with a perforation in the ear, or an animal with broken front teeth.' Related by Ahmad and the four Imams. At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Hibban and Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.
Urdu Translation
حضرت علی المرتضیٰ کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم فرماتے ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ہمیں حکم دیا کہ آنکھ اور کان کو اچھی طرح دیکھ لیں اور کانی، آگے سے کان کٹی، پیچھے سے کان کٹی، کان سوراخ شدہ اور ٹوٹے ہوئے اگلے دانتوں والی (جانور) کی قربانی نہ کریں۔ اسے احمد اور ائمہ اربعہ نے روایت کیا ہے اور ترمذی، ابن حبان اور حاکم نے اسے صحیح قرار دیا ہے۔
