Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ اَلصَّامِتِ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ "لَا تَغُلُّوا; فَإِنَّ اَلْغُلُولَ نَارٌ وَعَارٌ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ فِي اَلدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ" } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَالنَّسَائِيُّ, وَصَحَّحَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ 1 .1 - حسن. انظر "الأصل".
English Translation
Hadrat 'Ubadah bin as-Samit (RAA) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated:“Do not be dishonest (and treacherous) about the war booty (i.e. steal from it before it is divided legally), as Ghulul will be like fire (for the ones who got involved in it) and a cause of disgrace to those who are guilty of it in this world and in the Hereafter.” Related by Ahmad, and An-Nasa‘i, and Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبادہ بن صامت رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "غلول (مالِ غنیمت میں خیانت) نہ کرو کیونکہ غلول اس کے کرنے والوں کے لیے دنیا اور آخرت میں آگ اور ذلت ہے"۔ اسے احمد اور نسائی نے روایت کیا ہے اور ابن حبان نے اسے صحیح قرار دیا ہے۔
