English Translation
Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A funeral passed before us, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) stood up. We said: "O Messenger of Allah, it was the funeral of a Jew." He said: "Whenever you see a funeral, stand up."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہہمارے سامنے سے ایک جنازہ گزرا تو نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکھڑے ہو گئے۔ ہم نے عرض کی کہ یا رسول اللہ! یہ تو یہودی کا جنازہ تھا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”جب تم جنازہ دیکھو تو کھڑے ہو جایا کرو۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 667]
