English Translation

Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "I used to often recall the poet's words and look at the face of the Prophet (peace be upon him) while he was praying for rain (Istisqa'), and he had not yet descended from the minbar when all the gutters were flowing." The poet's verse was: "White of complexion, protector of orphans and widows, people seek rain through the blessing of his noble face." And this was from the poetry of Abu Talib.
