English Translation
Al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) said in another narration: "During the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), there was only one mu'adhin, and the adhan for Friday was called only when the imam sat on the minbar."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا سائب بن یزید رضی اللہ عنہ ایک دوسری روایت میں کہتے ہیں کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے عہد میں صرف ایک ہی مؤذن تھا اور وہ جمعہ کے دن کی اذان اسی وقت دیتا تھا جب امام بیٹھ جاتا تھا یعنی اپنے منبر پر (بیٹھ جاتا تھا)۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 510]
