English Translation
Narrated Ubadah bin As-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went out to inform the people about the Night of Qadr, but two Muslims were quarreling. He said: "I came out to tell you about the Night of Qadr, but because so-and-so were quarreling, its precise knowledge was taken away. Perhaps that is better for you. Seek it on the twenty-seventh, twenty-ninth, and twenty-fifth nights of Ramadan."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبادہ بن صامت رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم(ایک مرتبہ لوگوں کو) شب قدر بتانے کے لیے نکلے مگر (اتفاق سے اس وقت) دو مسلمان باہم لڑ رہے تھے تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: (اس وقت) میں اس لیے نکلا تھا کہ تمہیں (معین) شب قدر بتا دوں مگر (چونکہ) فلاں اور فلاں باہم لڑے اس لیے (اس کی قطعی خبر دنیا سے) اٹھا لی گئی اور شاید یہی تمہارے حق میں مفید ہو (اب) تم شب قدر کو رمضان کی ستائیسویں اور انتیسویں اور پچیسویں (تاریخوں) میں تلاش کرو۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 46]
