English Translation

Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) began the prayer, he would raise both his hands to the level of his shoulders. He would also do so when saying takbir for ruku', and when raising his head from ruku', saying: "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa lakal-hamd." But he did not do this during the two prostrations. Nafi' narrated that Abdullah ibn Umar would say takbir at the beginning of prayer with raising his hands, and when he bowed for ruku' he would raise them, and when he said "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah" he would raise them, and when he stood from the second rak'ah he would raise them. Ibn Umar attributed all of this to the Prophet (peace be upon him).
