English Translation
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went to battle with us against a people, he would not attack until morning. He would wait — if he heard the adhan, he would refrain from attacking. If he did not hear the adhan, he would launch the attack.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہجب آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمہمارے ساتھ کسی قوم سے جہاد کرتے تو ہم سے لوٹ مار نہ کرواتے تھے یہاں تک کہ صبح ہو جاتی اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمانتظار کرتے۔ پس اگر اذان سن لیتے تو ان لوگوں (کے قتل) سے رک جاتے اور اگر اذان نہ سنتے تو ان پر حملہ کر دیتے۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 374]
