English Translation
Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him), when people criticized him for rebuilding the Prophet's Mosque, said: "You have said much about me, but I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'Whoever builds a mosque seeking the pleasure of Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.'"
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہجب لوگ ان کے بارے میں گفتگو کر رہے تھے، جس وقت کہ انھوں (عثمان) نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی مسجد بنائی، انھوں نے کہا کہ تم نے (میرے بارے میں) بہت کچھ کہا حالانکہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے:”جو شخص مسجد بنائے اور اللہ کی رضامندی چاہتا ہو۔ اللہ اس کے لیے اسی کے برابر جنت میں مکان بنا دیتا ہے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 282]
