English Translation
Narrated the Mother of the Believers, Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sent a man as the commander of a military expedition. When this man led the prayer, he would conclude his recitation with "Qul huwa Allahu ahad." When these people returned, they mentioned this to the Prophet (peace be upon him). He (peace be upon him) said: "Ask him why he does that." The people asked him, and he said, "(I recite it a great deal because) it is a description of the Most Merciful (that is, Allah the Exalted), and I love to recite it." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Tell him that Allah loves him."
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ایک شخص کو ایک لشکر کا سردار بنا کر روانہ کیا۔ وہ شخص جب نماز پڑھاتے تو ((قل ھو اﷲ احد)) پر قرآت مکمل کرتے۔ جب یہ لوگ واپس ہوئے تو نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے انھوں نے اس کا ذکر کیا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”ان سے پوچھو کہ وہ ایسا کیوں کرتے ہیں؟“لوگوں نے ان سے پوچھا تو انھوں نے کہا (کہ میں اس لیے اس کو زیادہ پڑھتا ہوں کہ) یہ رحمن (یعنی اللہ تعالیٰ) کی صفت ہے اور میں اس کے پڑھنے کو محبوب رکھتا ہوں۔ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اس سے کہہ دو کہ اللہ اس کو محبوب رکھتا ہے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2220]
