English Translation
Narrated Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Truthfulness leads to righteous deeds, and righteous deeds lead to Paradise, and a person keeps speaking the truth until he is recorded with Allah as a truthful one. And indeed falsehood leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire, and indeed a person keeps telling lies until he is recorded with Allah as a liar."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”سچ بولنا نیک کاموں کی ہدایت کرتا ہے اور نیک کام جنت میں لے جاتا ہے اور انسان سچ بولتے بولتے (اللہ کے ہاں) سچ بولنے والوں میں لکھا جاتا ہے اور یقیناً جھوٹ بدکاری کی طرف لے جاتا ہے اور بدکاری دوزخ کی طرف لے جاتی ہے اور یقیناً انسان جھوٹ بولتے بولتے اللہ کے ہاں جھوٹوں میں لکھا جاتا ہے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2039]
