English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "Evil omens are nothing; a good omen is an excellent thing." The people asked: What is a good omen (fa'l)? He said: "A good omen is a pleasant word that any one of you hears."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا:”بدشگونی کوئی چیز نہیں، نیک فال عمدہ چیز ہے۔“لوگوں نے پوچھا کہ فال کیا چیز ہے؟ تو فرمایا:”فال وہ اچھی بات ہے جو تم میں سے کوئی سنے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1978]
