English Translation
Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked, "Did you ever see fine flour in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)?" He said, "Not at all." (Then) he was asked, "Did you used to sift the barley (flour)?" He said, "No, but we used to (grind it and) blow on it with our mouths."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا سہل رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا گیا کہکیا آپ نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے دور میں میدہ دیکھا تھا؟ وہ بولے”بالکل نہیں“(پھر) پوچھا گیا کہ کیا تم”جو“(کے آٹے) کو چھانتے تھے؟ تو انھوں نے کہا کہ نہیں، لیکن ہم (پیس کر) منہ سے پھونک لیا کرتے تھے۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1896]
