English Translation
Sahl ibn Sad al-Saidi (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "I and the one who raises an orphan will be like this in Paradise (close together)," and he (peace be upon him) gestured with his forefinger (next to the thumb) and his middle finger, keeping a little gap between the two fingers. (Point of benefit: Imam al-Bukhari, with this hadith, refuted those who permit a gesture in matters like divorce but not in li'an (mutual imprecation), showing here that a gesture is also valid in li'an and the like. Another point is that the complete hadiths of li'an have already been mentioned earlier, so for fear of repetition they have not been written again here.)
Urdu Translation
سیدنا سہل بن سعد ساعدی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”میں اور یتیم کی پرورش کرنے والا جنت میں اس طرح (قریب قریب) ہوں گے اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے انگوٹھے کے ساتھ والی (شہادت کی) انگلی اور درمیانی انگلی سے اشارہ کیا اور دونوں انگلیوں کے درمیان تھوڑا سا فرق باقی رکھا۔ (فائدہ: امام بخاری نے اس حدیث سے ان لوگوں کا رد کیا ہے جو طلاق وغیرہ میں تو اشارے کو روا مانتے ہیں مگر لعان میں نہیں تو یہاں سے واضح کیا کہ اشارے کو لعان وغیرہ میں بھی روا رکھا جائے گا۔ دوسری بات کہ لعان کی مکمل احادیث پہلے گزر چکی ہیں اس لیے یہاں ان کو تکرار کے ڈر سے دوبارہ نہیں لکھا گیا۔“)[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1880]
