English Translation
Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him): A man heard another man reciting "Qul huwa Allahu Ahad" (Surah al-Ikhlas) over and over. So in the morning he came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and mentioned this, as if the man considered "Qul huwa Allahu Ahad" to be little (in reward, because of the fewness of its words). The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "By the One in whose Hand is my soul! Indeed, this sura, 'Qul huwa Allahu Ahad,' is equal to a third of the Qur'an."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہایک شخص نے کسی کو ((قل ھو اللہ احد)) (سورۃ الاخلاص) باربار پڑھتے ہوئے سنا، پس وہ صبح کو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آیا اور یہ بیان کیا، گویا کہ وہ شخص ((قل ھو اﷲ احد)) کو (بوجہ قلت الفاظ کے ثواب میں) قلیل جانتا تھا۔ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے! بیشک یہ سورۃ ((قل ھو اﷲ احد)) تہائی قرآن کے برابر ہے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1812]
