English Translation
Narrated Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him): I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about the Mu'awwidhatayn (the two suras of refuge), and he (peace be upon him) said, "These two suras were taught to me (by Jibril, peace be upon him); I say that they are part of the Qur'an." (Ubayy (may Allah be pleased with him) says:) We too say what the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے معوذتین کے بارے میں دریافت کیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”یہ دونوں سورتیں مجھے (جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے) پڑھائی ہیں، میں کہتا ہوں کہ یہ قرآن سے ہیں۔“(سیدنا ابی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ) ہم بھی وہی کہتے ہیں جو اللہ کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے کہا۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1805]
