English Translation
Narrated Ali ibn Abi Talib, the Commander of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sent me, Zubayr, and Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with them) to the place of Rawdat Khakh, (saying) that there is a woman there who has a letter with her, so bring it ... And he narrated the entire hadith of Hatib ibn Balta'ah, and at the end he said that at that time this verse was revealed: "O you who believe! Do not take My enemies and (your own) enemies as friends, offering them affection, while they ..." and so on.
Urdu Translation
امیرالمؤمنین سیدنا علی بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے مجھے، زبیر اور مقداد رضی اللہ عنہم کو مقام روضہ خاخ میں بھیجا کہ وہاں ایک عورت ہے اس کے پاس ایک خط ہے وہ لاؤ .... پس حاطب بن بلعہ کی پوری حدیث بیان کی اور آخر میں کہا کہ اس وقت یہ آیت اتری”اے ایمان والو! تم میرے اور (خود) اپنے دشمنوں کو دوست نہ بناؤ، تم تو دوستی سے ان کی طرف پیغام ارسال کرتے ہو اور وہ ....۔“الخ۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1787]
