English Translation
Narrated Aisha as-Siddiqah, the Mother of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with her): After the command of hijab was revealed, Aflah, the brother of Abu Qu'ays, sought permission to come to me. I said, "I will not give permission until I ask the Prophet (peace be upon him), because it was not Aflah's brother, Abu Qu'ays (who was my foster-father), who suckled me, but the wife of Abu Qu'ays who suckled me." When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came, I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Aflah, the brother of Abu Qu'ays, sought permission from me to enter, but I did not give permission without asking you (now what is the ruling?)." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Why did you not give him permission? He is your uncle." I said, "O Messenger of Allah! It was not this man Abu Qu'ays who suckled me, but the wife of Abu Qu'ays who suckled me." He (peace be upon him) said, "Give him permission, for he is your uncle. May your hand be dusty."
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہپردہ کا حکم اترنے کے بعد ابوقعیس کے بھائی افلح نے میرے پاس آنے کی اجازت چاہی تو میں نے کہا کہ میں اجازت نہیں دیتی جب تک میں نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے نہ پوچھ لوں۔ کیونکہ افلح کے بھائی یا ابوقعیس نے (جو میرا رضاعی باپ تھا) تو مجھ کو دودھ نہیں پلایا تھا بلکہ ابوقعیس کی بیوی نے پلایا تھا۔ جب رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمآئے تو میں نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! ابوقعیس کے بھائی افلح نے مجھ سے اندر آنے کی اجازت مانگی تو میں نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے پوچھے بغیر اجازت نہیں دی (اب کیا حکم ہے؟) نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”تو نے کیوں اجازت نہ دی، وہ تیرا چچا ہے؟“میں نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! اس مرد ابوقعیس نے تو مجھ کو دودھ نہیں پلایا تھا، مجھے تو ابوقعیس کی بیوی نے دودھ پلایا تھا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اسے اجازت دیدے کیونکہ وہ تو تیرا چچا ہوتا ہے۔ تیرا ہاتھ خاک آلود ہو۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1764]
