English Translation
Narrated Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) gathered the Ansar and said: "The people of Quraysh have recently emerged from the era of ignorance and the hardships of killing and imprisonment. I wish to give them some wealth to win their hearts and support them. Are you not pleased that the people take away worldly wealth while you take the Messenger of Allah back to your homes?" They said: "Yes, we are pleased." Then he said: "If the people went through a valley and the Ansar went through a mountain pass, I would choose the valley — or the pass — of the Ansar."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے انصار کو جمع کر کے فرمایا:”قریش کے لوگ ابھی دور جاہلیت اور قتل و قید کی مصیبتوں سے نکلے ہیں، تو میں چاہتا ہوں کہ انھیں کچھ مال غنیمت دے کر ان کی مدد اور دل جوئی کر دوں۔ تو کیا تم خوش نہیں ہو کہ لوگ دنیا لے جائیں اور تم رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو اپنے گھروں کی طرف لے جاؤ؟ انھوں نے جواب دیا”جی ہاں ہم راضی ہیں۔“پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اگر اور لوگ وادی کے اندر چلیں اور انصار پہاڑ کی گھاٹی پر چلیں تو میں بھی انصار کی وادی یا گھاٹی اختیار کروں گا۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1673]
