English Translation
Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): The Prophet (peace be upon him) set out from Madinah in the month of Ramadan with ten thousand Companions toward Makkah, eight and a half years after his arrival in Madinah. The Prophet and some Muslims were fasting. When they reached Al-Kadid, a spring between Usfan and Qudaid, the Prophet and his companions broke their fast.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما روایت کرتے ہیں کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمرمضان کے مہینہ میں مدینہ سے دس ہزار صحابہ کے ساتھ (مکہ کی طرف) روانہ ہوئے اور یہ مدینہ میں آنے سے ساڑھے آٹھ برس بعد کا ذکر ہے۔ مسلمان اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلممکہ کی طرف روانہ ہوئے تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ساتھ کچھ صحابہ بھی روزے رکھتے رہے۔ جب مقام کدید جو کہ عسفان و قدید کے درمیان ایک چشمہ ہے، پر پہنچے تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ہمرائیوں نے روزہ کھول لیا۔ (روزہ افطار کر لیا)۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1660]
