English Translation
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): A man asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) on the Day of Uhud: "If I am killed, where will I be?" He said: "In Paradise." The man threw away the dates he had in his hand and fought until he was martyred.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہایک شخص نے احد کے دن (غزوہ احد) نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے پوچھا کہ اگر میں (اللہ کی راہ میں) مارا جاؤں تو کہاں (جاؤں گا؟) آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”(تو) جنت میں (جائے گا)۔“اس نے اپنے ہاتھ کی کھجوریں (تک) پھینک دیں اور اتنا لڑا کہ شہید ہو گیا۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1618]
