English Translation
Usamah ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked what he had heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about the plague. Usamah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The plague is a punishment that was sent upon a group of the Children of Israel — or upon those who came before you. When you hear that it has broken out in a land, do not enter it. And if it breaks out in the land where you are, do not flee from it."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہان سے پوچھا گیا کہ آپ نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے طاعون کے بارے میں کیا سنا ہے؟ تو سیدنا اسامہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا ہے:”طاعون ایک عذاب ہے جو بنی اسرائیل کے ایک گروہ پر بھیجا گیا تھا یا (یہ کہا کہ) تم سے پہلے لوگوں پر (یہ راوی کو شک ہے) پھر جب تم سنو کہ کسی ملک میں طاعون پھیلا ہے تو وہاں مت جاؤ اور جب اس ملک میں پھیلے جہاں تم لوگ رہتے ہو تو بھاگنے کی نیت سے وہاں سے مت نکلو۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1451]
