English Translation
Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) picking the fruit of the Arak tree. He said: "Pick the black ones, for they are ripe and tastier." The Companions asked: "O Messenger of Allah, have you herded sheep?" He said: "Is there any Prophet who has not herded them?"
Urdu Translation
سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہہم رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ساتھ پیلو کے پھل توڑ رہے تھے کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”کالے کالے دیکھ کر توڑو، وہ (پختہ اور) مزیدار ہوتا ہے۔ صحابہ نے عرض کی کہ کیا آپ نے (جنگل میں) بکریاں چرائی ہیں؟ (جو آپ کو پیلو کے پھلوں کی شناخت ہے) تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”بھلا کوئی ایسا پیغمبر بھی گزرا ہے جس نے بکریاں نہ چرائی ہوں؟“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1424]
