English Translation
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that he heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: "No man should be alone with a woman, and no woman should travel except with a mahram (close male relative)." A man stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah! My name has been enlisted for such-and-such expedition, but my wife has set out for Hajj." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Go and perform Hajj with your wife."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہانھوں نے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ کوئی مرد کسی عورت کے ساتھ تنہائی میں نہ بیٹھے اور نہ کوئی عورت بغیر اپنے محرم رشتہ دار کے سفر کرے۔ تو ایک شخص کھڑا ہو گیا اور اس نے عرض کی کہ یا رسول اللہ! فلاں فلاں جہاد میں میرا نام لکھا گیا ہے۔ اور میری بیوی حج کے لیے جا رہی ہے۔ تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”تو جا اور اپنی بیوی کے ساتھ حج ادا کر۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1290]
