English Translation
Mujashi' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I brought my brother's son to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: "Take our pledge of allegiance for Hijrah." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Hijrah has ended for those who participated in it." I asked: "Then for what will you take our pledge?" He said: "For Islam, Jihad, and good deeds."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا مجاشع رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس اپنے بھائی کے بیٹے کو لے کر آیا اور میں نے عرض کی کہ آپ ہم سے ہجرت پر بیعت لے لیجئیے۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”ہجرت تو اپنے لوگوں کے لیے ختم ہو چکی ہے۔“میں نے عرض کی پھر آپ کس بات پر ہم سے بیعت لیں گے؟ تو فرمایا:”اسلام اور جہاد پر۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1274]
