حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهم ـ قَالَ وَكَانَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ إِذَا غَابَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَشَهِدْتُهُ أَتَيْتُهُ بِمَا يَكُونُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَإِذَا غِبْتُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَشَهِدَ أَتَانِي بِمَا يَكُونُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
English Translation
Hadrat Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: There was a man from the Ansar (who was my friend). When he was absent from the gathering of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and I was present, I would bring him news of what the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said. And when I was absent from the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and he was present, he would come and bring me news of what the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عمر بن الخطاب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ انصار میں سے ایک صاحب تھے، جب وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی مجلس میں حاضر نہ ہو سکتے اور میں حاضر ہوتا تو میں ان کو آ کر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی مجلس کی خبریں بتاتا، اور جب میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی مجلس میں حاضر نہ ہو سکتا اور وہ حاضر ہوتے تو وہ آ کر مجھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی باتیں بتاتے۔
