حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُبَايِعُ النِّسَاءَ بِالْكَلاَمِ بِهَذِهِ الآيَةِ {لاَ يُشْرِكْنَ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا} قَالَتْ وَمَا مَسَّتْ يَدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَدَ امْرَأَةٍ، إِلاَّ امْرَأَةً يَمْلِكُهَا.
English Translation
Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha (may Allah be well pleased with her) narrated that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to take the pledge of allegiance from women verbally, reciting this verse (Surah al-Mumtahina, 60:12): 'That they will not associate anything in worship with Allah.' And she stated: The blessed hand of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) never touched the hand of any (non-mahram) woman, except a woman who was in his possession (i.e., his bondmaid).
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم عورتوں سے زبانی بیعت لیتے تھے، اس آیت (سورۃ الممتحنہ، آیت ۱۲) کے مطابق: کہ وہ اللہ کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہیں ٹھہرائیں گی۔ اور فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے دستِ مبارک نے کبھی کسی (اجنبی) عورت کا ہاتھ نہیں چھوا، سوا اس عورت کے جو آپ کی ملکِ یمین ہو۔
