Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ جَلَدَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي الْخَمْرِ بِالْجَرِيدِ وَالنِّعَالِ، وَجَلَدَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَرْبَعِينَ.
English Translation
Muslim narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him), who said: The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) punished for drinking wine by beating with palm-leaf stalks and sandals, and Hadrat Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be well pleased with him) gave forty lashes.
Urdu Translation
ہم سے مسلم نے بیان کیا، ہم سے ہشام نے بیان کیا، ہم سے قتادہ نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کیا، انہوں نے فرمایا: نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے شراب پینے کی سزا میں کھجور کی ٹہنیوں اور جوتوں سے مارا، اور حضرت ابو بکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے چالیس کوڑے لگائے۔
