حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ، عَنْ هُزَيْلٍ، قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ لأَقْضِيَنَّ فِيهَا بِقَضَاءِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِلاِبْنَةِ النِّصْفُ، وَلاِبْنَةِ الاِبْنِ السُّدُسُ، وَمَا بَقِيَ فَلِلأُخْتِ.
English Translation
'Amr ibn 'Abbas narrated to me, Hadrat 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Qays, from Huzayl, who said: 'Abd Allah (Hadrat Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be well pleased with him) said: I shall certainly judge in this matter according to the judgment of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): the daughter gets half, the son's daughter gets one-sixth (to complete two-thirds), and whatever remains is for the sister.
Urdu Translation
مجھ سے عمرو بن عباس نے بیان کیا، ہم سے عبدالرحمٰن نے بیان کیا، ہم سے سفیان نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے ابو قیس سے، انہوں نے ہزیل سے، انہوں نے فرمایا: حضرت عبداللہ (حضرت ابن مسعود) رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے فرمایا: میں ضرور اس میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے فیصلے کے مطابق فیصلہ کروں گا: بیٹی کو آدھا، پوتی کو چھٹا حصہ (دو تہائی پورے کرنے کے لیے)، اور جو بچے وہ بہن کا۔
