Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَأَذِّنَا وَأَقِيمَا، ثُمَّ لِيَؤُمَّكُمَا أَكْبَرُكُمَا ".
English Translation
Hadrat Malik bin Huwairith (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated (to two persons): 'When the time of prayer comes, call the Adhan and then the Iqama, and the elder of you should lead the prayer.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت مالک بن حویرث رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے (دو آدمیوں سے) ارشاد فرمایا: جب نماز کا وقت آئے تو تم دونوں اذان دو، پھر اقامت کہو، پھر تم دونوں میں سے جو بڑا ہو وہ امامت کرائے۔
