Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي جَدِّي أَبُو بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الْمُؤْمِنُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ كَالْبُنْيَانِ، يَشُدُّ بَعْضُهُ بَعْضًا ". ثُمَّ شَبَّكَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ. وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَالِسًا إِذْ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ يَسْأَلُ أَوْ طَالِبُ حَاجَةٍ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ " اشْفَعُوا فَلْتُؤْجَرُوا، وَلْيَقْضِ اللَّهُ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ مَا شَاءَ ".
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Abu Musa that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "A believer to another believer is like a building whose different parts enforce each other." The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) then clasped his hands with the fingers interlaced. (At that time) the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was sitting and a man came and begged or asked for something. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) faced us and said, "Help and recommend him and you will receive the reward for it, and Allah will bring about what He will through His Prophet's tongue
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو موسیٰ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: مومن مومن کے لیے عمارت کی طرح ہے جس کا ایک حصہ دوسرے حصے کو مضبوط کرتا ہے۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اپنی انگلیاں ایک دوسرے میں ڈال کر دکھایا۔ اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم تشریف فرما تھے کہ ایک شخص سوال یا حاجت لے کر آیا، تو آپ ہماری طرف متوجہ ہوئے اور فرمایا: سفارش کرو تمہیں اجر ملے گا، اور اللہ اپنے نبی کی زبان پر جو چاہے فیصلہ فرمائے۔
