Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ، وَنَقَشَ فِيهِ، مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ. وَقَالَ " إِنِّي اتَّخَذْتُ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ، وَنَقَشْتُ فِيهِ، مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ. فَلاَ يَنْقُشَنَّ أَحَدٌ عَلَى نَقْشِهِ ".
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Anas bin Malik that Allah's Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) took a silver ring and had 'Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)' of Allah' engraved on it. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) then said (to us), 'I have a silver ring with 'Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) engraved on it, so none of you should have the same engraving on his ring
Urdu Translation
ہم سے مسدد نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے حماد بن زید نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبدالعزیز بن صہیب نے اور ان سے حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے چاندی کی ایک انگوٹھی بنوائی اور اس میں یہ نقش کھدوایا «محمد رسول الله» اور لوگوں سے کہہ دیا کہ میں نے چاندی کی ایک انگوٹھی بنوا کر اس پر «محمد رسول الله» نقش کروایا ہے۔ اس لیے اب کوئی شخص یہ نقش اپنی انگوٹھی پر نہ کھدوائے۔
