حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنِ اللَّيْثِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا يَهُودِيٌّ يَعْرِضُ سِلْعَتَهُ أُعْطِيَ بِهَا شَيْئًا كَرِهَهُ. فَقَالَ لاَ وَالَّذِي اصْطَفَى مُوسَى عَلَى الْبَشَرِ، فَسَمِعَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَقَامَ، فَلَطَمَ وَجْهَهُ، وَقَالَ تَقُولُ وَالَّذِي اصْطَفَى مُوسَى عَلَى الْبَشَرِ، وَالنَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِنَا فَذَهَبَ إِلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ، إِنَّ لِي ذِمَّةً وَعَهْدًا، فَمَا بَالُ فُلاَنٍ لَطَمَ وَجْهِي. فَقَالَ " لِمَ لَطَمْتَ وَجْهَهُ ". فَذَكَرَهُ، فَغَضِبَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى رُئِيَ فِي وَجْهِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ " لاَ تُفَضِّلُوا بَيْنَ أَنْبِيَاءِ اللَّهِ، فَإِنَّهُ يُنْفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ، فَيَصْعَقُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الأَرْضِ، إِلاَّ مَنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ، ثُمَّ يُنْفَخُ فِيهِ أُخْرَى، فَأَكُونُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ بُعِثَ فَإِذَا مُوسَى آخِذٌ بِالْعَرْشِ، فَلاَ أَدْرِي أَحُوسِبَ بِصَعْقَتِهِ يَوْمَ الطُّورِ أَمْ بُعِثَ قَبْلِي - وَلَا أَقُولُ إِنَّ أَحَدًا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى".
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be well pleased with him) that once while a Jew was selling something, he was offered a price that he was not pleased with. So, he said, "No, by Him Who gave Hadrat Musa (upon him be peace) superiority over all human beings!" Hearing him, an Ansari man got up and slapped him on the face and said, "You say: By Him Who Gave Hadrat Musa (upon him be peace) superiority over all human beings although the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) (Muhammad ) is present amongst us!" The Jew went to the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and stated, "O Abu-l-Qasim! I am under the assurance and contract of security, so what right does so-and-so have to slap me?" the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) inquired the other, "Why have you slapped". He told him the whole story. the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) became angry, till anger appeared on his face, and said, "Don't give superiority to any prophet amongst Allah's Prophets, for when the trumpet will be blown, everyone on the earth and in the heavens will become unconscious except those whom Allah will exempt. The trumpet will be blown for the second time and I will be the first to be resurrected to see Hadrat Musa (upon him be peace) holding Allah's Throne. I will not know whether the unconsciousness which Hadrat Musa (upon him be peace) received on the Day of Tur has been sufficient for him, or has he got up before me. And I do not say that there is anybody who is better than Yunus (upon him be peace) bin Matta
Urdu Translation
ہم سے محمد بن عبداللہ بن نمیر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابراہیم بن سعد نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابن شہاب نے، ان سے حضرت ابوسلمہ اور سعید بن مسیب نے اور انہوں نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا، فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا "بنی اسرائیل کے لوگوں پر انبیاء حکومت فرماتے تھے۔ جب کوئی نبی وفات پاتے تو ان کی جگہ دوسرے نبی آتے لیکن میرے بعد کوئی نبی نہیں ہو گا۔ ہاں البتہ خلفاء ہوں گے اور بہت زیادہ ہوں گے۔ صحابہ نے عرض کیا: تو آپ ہمیں کیا حکم دیتے ہیں؟ فرمایا: پہلے والے کی بیعت پوری کرو اور انہیں ان کا حق دو بے شک اللہ تعالیٰ ان سے اس بارے میں پوچھے گا جو اس نے ان کے سپرد کیا تھا۔"
