قَالَ وَقَالَ اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلاَلٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا الأَسْوَدِ، أَخْبَرَهُ عُرْوَةُ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الْمَلاَئِكَةُ تَتَحَدَّثُ فِي الْعَنَانِ ـ وَالْعَنَانُ الْغَمَامُ ـ بِالأَمْرِ يَكُونُ فِي الأَرْضِ، فَتَسْمَعُ الشَّيَاطِينُ الْكَلِمَةَ، فَتَقُرُّهَا فِي أُذُنِ الْكَاهِنِ، كَمَا تُقَرُّ الْقَارُورَةُ، فَيَزِيدُونَ مَعَهَا مِائَةَ كَذِبَةٍ ".
English Translation
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat ' A'isha al-Siddiqa (may Allah be well pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: The angels converse amidst the clouds about matters that are to occur on the earth — 'anan' means clouds — then the devils overhear a word from it and pour it into the ear of a soothsayer just as something is poured into a bottle, and they (the soothsayers) add a hundred lies along with it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: فرشتے بادلوں میں ان امور کا ذکر کرتے ہیں جو زمین پر ہونے والے ہوتے ہیں — «عَنَان» سے مراد بادل ہے — تو شیاطین ان میں سے کوئی بات سن لیتے ہیں اور اسے کاہن کے کان میں اس طرح ڈالتے ہیں جیسے شیشی میں کچھ انڈیلا جائے، اور وہ (کاہن) اس ایک بات کے ساتھ سو جھوٹ ملا دیتے ہیں۔
