حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا غَزَا قَوْمًا لَمْ يُغِرْ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ، فَإِنْ سَمِعَ أَذَانًا أَمْسَكَ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ أَذَانًا أَغَارَ بَعْدَ مَا يُصْبِحُ، فَنَزَلْنَا خَيْبَرَ لَيْلاً.
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) who states: Whenever the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) intended to attack a people, he would not attack until dawn. If he heard the Adhan, he would withhold; and if he did not hear the Adhan, he would attack after dawn. We reached Khaybar at night.
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، فرماتے ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جب کسی قوم پر حملہ فرماتے تو صبح ہونے تک حملہ نہ کرتے۔ اگر اذان سنتے تو رک جاتے، اور اگر اذان نہ سنتے تو صبح ہونے کے بعد حملہ فرماتے۔ ہم خیبر رات کو پہنچے۔
