Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ وَرَّادٍ، مَوْلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ اللَّهَ حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ عُقُوقَ الأُمَّهَاتِ، وَوَأْدَ الْبَنَاتِ، وَمَنَعَ وَهَاتِ، وَكَرِهَ لَكُمْ قِيلَ وَقَالَ، وَكَثْرَةَ السُّؤَالِ، وَإِضَاعَةَ الْمَالِ ".
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Mughira bin Shu'ba (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Indeed, Allah the Exalted has forbidden for you: disobedience to mothers, burying daughters alive, withholding what is due, and seizing what belongs to others. And He has deemed detestable for you: vain talk, excessive questioning, and squandering of wealth.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: بے شک اللہ تعالیٰ نے تم پر ماؤں کی نافرمانی، لڑکیوں کو زندہ دفن کرنا، (واجب حقوق کی) ادائیگی نہ کرنا اور (دوسروں کا مال) ناجائز طریقے سے دبا لینا حرام فرمایا ہے۔ اور تمہارے لیے فضول باتیں کرنا، کثرت سے سوال کرنا اور مال ضائع کرنا ناپسندیدہ قرار دیا ہے۔
