Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَ��ْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّهُ انْتَهَى إِلَى الْجَمْرَةِ الْكُبْرَى جَعَلَ الْبَيْتَ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، وَمِنًى عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَرَمَى بِسَبْعٍ، وَقَالَ هَكَذَا رَمَى الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat 'Abdur-Rahman bin Yazid that when Hadrat ' Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be well pleased with him) reached the big Jamra (Jamrat al-'Aqabah), he kept the Ka'bah on his left side and Mina on his right side and threw seven pebbles, and stated, 'The one upon whom Surah al-Baqarah was revealed (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did the Rami in this same manner' (i.e. the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).
Urdu Translation
ہم سے حفص بن عمر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے حکم بن عتبہ نے، ان سے ابراہیم نخعی نے، ان سے عبدالرحمٰن بن یزید نے فرمایا کہ حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ جمرہ کبریٰ کے پاس تشریف لائے تو کعبہ کو اپنے بائیں طرف فرمایا اور منیٰ کو دائیں طرف، پھر سات کنکریوں سے رمی فرمائی اور فرمایا کہ جن پر سورۃ البقرہ نازل ہوئی تھی صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم انہوں نے بھی اسی طرح رمی فرمائی تھی (یعنی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم)۔
