حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ تَخَلَّفَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنَّا فِي سَفْرَةٍ سَافَرْنَاهَا، فَأَدْرَكَنَا وَقَدْ أَرْهَقْنَا الْعَصْرَ، فَجَعَلْنَا نَتَوَضَّأُ وَنَمْسَحُ عَلَى أَرْجُلِنَا، فَنَادَى بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ " وَيْلٌ لِلأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ ". مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثًا.
English Translation
Hadrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates: On a journey, the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) fell behind us. He caught up with us when the time for Asr prayer was running short. We began performing ablution hastily, wiping over our feet instead of washing them. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) called out in a loud voice: Woe to the heels from the Fire! He said this two or three times.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں: ایک سفر میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہم سے پیچھے رہ گئے۔ پھر آپ نے ہمیں پا لیا جبکہ عصر کا وقت تنگ ہو رہا تھا۔ ہم جلدی جلدی وضو کرنے لگے اور اپنے پاؤں پر (دھونے کی بجائے) مسح کرنے لگے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے بلند آواز سے ارشاد فرمایا: (خشک) ایڑیوں کے لیے آگ کا عذاب ہے! دو یا تین مرتبہ فرمایا۔
