Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَيُوتِرُ عَلَيْهَا، وَيُخْبِرُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَفْعَلُهُ.
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Nafi' (may Allah have mercy upon him) who said: Hadrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) used to offer voluntary prayers and the Witr prayer on his mount, and he would say that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to do the same.
Urdu Translation
نافع رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سواری پر نفل نماز اور وتر بھی پڑھ لیتے تھے اور فرماتے تھے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم بھی ایسا فرماتے تھے۔
