Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبَّادُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ، أَنَّ عَمَّهُ ـ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَرَجَ بِالنَّاسِ يَسْتَسْقِي لَهُمْ، فَقَامَ فَدَعَا اللَّهَ قَائِمًا، ثُمَّ تَوَجَّهَ قِبَلَ الْقِبْلَةِ، وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ فَأُسْقُوا.
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abbad bin Tamim (may Allah be well pleased with him) that his uncle, who was one of the Companions of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), informed him that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) went out with the people for the Istisqa prayer. He stood and invoked Allah while standing, then faced the Qibla and turned his blessed cloak inside out, and they were blessed with rain.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عباد بن تمیم رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ان کے چچا (حضرت عبداللہ بن زید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) جو صحابی تھے، نے بتایا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم لوگوں کو ساتھ لے کر استسقاء کے لیے تشریف لے گئے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے اور کھڑے کھڑے اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا فرمائی، پھر قبلہ کی طرف رخ فرمایا اور اپنی چادر مبارک پلٹی۔ چنانچہ خوب بارش ہوئی۔
