حَدَّثَنا يحيى بن المعلى بن مَنْصُور حَدَّثَنا أبو الجماهر حَدَّثَنا سعيد بن بشير عَنْ قَتَادةَ عن محمد بن سيرين عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِي صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قال اختصمت الجنة والنار فقالت النار يدخلني المتكبرون وقالت الجنة لا يدخلني إلا الضعفاء والفقراء فأوحى الله إليهما أن لكل واحدة منكما ملأها فيلقى في النار أهلها فتقول هل من مزيد ويلقى فيها فتقول هل من مزيد فيضع تبارك وتعالى قدمه فيها فتزوي وأما الجنة فيبقى منها شيء كثير فينشئ الله لها خلقاوهذا الحديثُ لا يحفظ من حديث قتادة إلاَّ عن سعيد بن بشير اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قال اختصمت الجنة والنار فقالت النار يدخلني المتكبرون وقالت الجنة لا يدخلني إلا الضعفاء والفقراء فأوحى الله إليهما أن لكل واحدة منكما ملأها فيلقى في النار أهلها فتقول هل من مزيد ويلقى فيها فتقول هل من مزيد فيضع تبارك وتعالى قدمه فيها فتزوي وأما الجنة فيبقى منها شيء كثير فينشئ الله لها خلقاوهذا الحديثُ لا يحفظ من حديث قتادة إلاَّ عن سعيد بن بشير
English Translation
Yahya ibn al-Mu'alla ibn Mansur narrated to us, Abu al-Jamahir narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Bashir narrated to us from Qatada from Muhammad ibn Sirin from Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) who said: "Paradise and Hellfire argued. Hellfire said: The arrogant and tyrants enter me. Paradise said: None enters me except the weak and the poor. So Allah revealed to them: Each of you will have its fill. The inhabitants of the Fire are cast into it, and it says: Are there more? And they are cast into it, and it says: Are there more? Then the Blessed and Exalted places His Foot in it, and it contracts. As for Paradise, much of it will remain, so Allah will create a creation for it and settle them in it." And this hadith is not preserved from the hadith of Qatada except from Sa'id ibn Bashir.
