English Translation
Ahmad ibn Aban narrated to us: Marwan ibn Mu'awiyah narrated to us: Makki ibn Ibrahim narrated to us: al-Ju'ayd narrated to us: Abu Ahmad al-Mihrajani informed us: Abu Bakr ibn Ja'far al-Muzakki informed us: Muhammad ibn Ibrahim narrated to us: Ibn Bukayr narrated to us: Malik narrated to us from Yahya ibn Sa'id from Abu Murrah, the freedman of Aqil, that he asked Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) about a sheep that was slaughtered and part of it moved. He instructed him to eat it. Then he asked Zayd ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) about that, and Zayd said: 'A dead animal — I think he said — moves as well,' and he forbade him from it. Sulayman ibn Bilal also narrated it from Yahya ibn Sa'id, and a marfu' hadith has been narrated regarding this matter.
