حَدَّثَنا أحمد بن ثابت حَدَّثَنا يعقوب بن إسحاق حَدَّثَنا سليم بن حيان عن أبيه عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ رفعه قال إن رجلا كان فيمن كان قبلكم اشترى من رجل عقارا فأصاب فيه جرة من ذهب فقال له إنما اشتريت منك العقار ولم أشتر منك الذهب فقال البائع إنما بعتك العقار بما فيه قال فتحاكما إلى بعض من كان في ذلك الوقت فقال لأحدهما ألك بنت وقال للآخر ألك ابن قالا نعم قال فزوجوا أحدهما من الآخر ولينفقا على أنفسهما من هذا المالوهذا الحديثُ لا نعلم أحدا رفعه عن سليم عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ سعيد بن مينا قال إن رجلا كان فيمن كان قبلكم اشترى من رجل عقارا فأصاب فيه جرة من ذهب فقال له إنما اشتريت منك العقار ولم أشتر منك الذهب فقال البائع إنما بعتك العقار بما فيه قال فتحاكما إلى بعض من كان في ذلك الوقت فقال لأحدهما ألك بنت وقال للآخر ألك ابن قالا نعم قال فزوجوا أحدهما من الآخر ولينفقا على أنفسهما من هذا المالوهذا الحديثُ لا نعلم أحدا رفعه عن سليم عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ سعيد بن مينا
English Translation
Ahmad ibn Thabit narrated to us, Ya'qub ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Sulaym ibn Hayyan narrated to us from his father from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) — attributed to the Prophet — who stated: "There was a man among those before you who bought a piece of land from another man and found in it a jar of gold. He said to the seller: I only bought the land from you, I did not buy gold from you. The seller said: I sold you the land with whatever is in it. So they brought their dispute to one who was [a judge] at that time. He said to one of them: Do you have a daughter? And to the other: Do you have a son? They said: Yes. He said: Then marry one to the other and let them spend on themselves from this wealth." This hadith — we do not know anyone who attributed it to the Prophet from Sulaym from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him), [through] Sa'id ibn Mina.
