حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّد بن الحُسَين بن إبراهيم حَدَّثَنا عمران بن أبان حدثنا مُحَمَّد بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عن طاوس عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ فَأَبَوَاهُ يُهَوِّدَانِهِ وينصرانهوَهَذَا الحديثُ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ ولاَ نَعْلَمْهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ طاوس عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ إلا بهذا الإسناد
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Husain ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, Imran ibn Aban narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muslim narrated to us, from Amr ibn Dinar, from Tawus, from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who stated: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «Every child is born upon the natural disposition (fitrah), then his parents make him a Jew or a Christian.» This hadith has been narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) through multiple routes, and we do not know it to be narrated from Tawus from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) except through this chain.
