حدثنا زَكَرِيَّا بن يحيى الضرير حدثنا شبابة بن سوار حدثنا مغيره ابن مسلم عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صالحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ من دعاكم على طعام فأجيبوه ومن سألكم بالله فأعطوه ومن استعاذ بالله فأعيذوه ومن آتى إليكم خيرا فكافئوه فإن لم تستطيعوا أن تكافئوه فادعوا له حتى يعلم أن قد كافأتموهوَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ إلا المغيرة بن مسلم وأحسبه أخطأ فيه لأن هذا الحديث رواه أبو عوانة وعبد العزيز بن مسلم عن الأعمش عن مجاهد عن ابن عُمَر رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا
English Translation
Zakariyya ibn Yahya al-Darir narrated to us, Shababah ibn Sawwar narrated to us, Mughirah ibn Muslim narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who stated: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «Whoever invites you to a meal, accept his invitation. Whoever asks you by Allah, give him. Whoever seeks refuge in Allah, grant him refuge. Whoever does you a good deed, repay him. If you are unable to repay him, then supplicate for him until you feel that you have repaid him.» This hadith — we do not know that anyone narrated it from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) except al-Mughirah ibn Muslim. I believe he made an error in it, because this hadith was narrated by Abu Awanah and Abd al-Aziz ibn Muslim from al-A'mash, from Mujahid, from Ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them).
