حدثنا محمد بن المُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّد بن عبيد عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مثل الصوات الخمس مثل نهر جار على باب أحدكم يغتسل فيه كل يوم خمس مرات فماذا يبقين من درنهوهذا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عن عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ إلا مُحَمَّد بن عبيد وغير محمد إنما يرويه عن الأعمش عن أبي سفيان عن جابر
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ubaid narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who stated: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «The parable of the five prayers is like a flowing river at the door of one of you; he bathes in it five times a day. What filth would remain on him?» This hadith — we do not know that anyone narrated it from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) except Muhammad ibn Ubaid. Others narrate it from al-A'mash, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir.
