حَدَّثَنا يحيى بن داود حَدَّثَنا أبو معاوية عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قال لخلوف فم الصائم أطيب عند الله من ريح المسك وللصائم فرحتان فرحة عند فطره وفرحة حين يلقى ربه وكل عمل ابن آدم له إلا الصوم فإنه لي وأنا أجزي به اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قال لخلوف فم الصائم أطيب عند الله من ريح المسك وللصائم فرحتان فرحة عند فطره وفرحة حين يلقى ربه وكل عمل ابن آدم له إلا الصوم فإنه لي وأنا أجزي به
English Translation
Yahya ibn Dawud narrated to us, Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who stated: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «The change in the breath of the fasting person's mouth is more pleasing to Allah than the fragrance of musk. The fasting person has two joys: a joy when he breaks his fast, and a joy when he meets his Lord. Every deed of the son of Adam is for him except fasting, for it is for Me and I shall reward for it.»
